IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (San Jose, CA)

Foxglove Rook Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around San Jose. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
