IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Summit Vista Insurance is an insurance company in San Jose with claims and service teams, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our user accounts and access. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
