IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Harborlight Forge Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Birmingham region. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with meter readings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
