IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Fernwood River Staffing is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on user accounts and access for candidate screening, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with candidate screening. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
