IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Northwind Iron Insurance is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on user accounts and access for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
