IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Fernwood Ridge Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Buffalo area. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
