IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Rivermark Thistle Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Baltimore. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would join a large organisation of about 847 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
