IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (remote)

Northwind Birch Energy is an energy provider in Houston focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
