IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (Providence, RI)

Silverline Orchard Energy is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on user accounts and access for billing disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 194 people based in Providence. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
