IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (Des Moines, IA)

Westbrook Forge Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Des Moines. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would join a small organisation of about 79 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
