IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (Colorado Springs, CO)

Northwind West Energy is an energy provider in Colorado Springs focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with hardship programmes. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
