IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (Boston, MA)

Ironwood Fern Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Boston area. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on user accounts and access. You would join a small organisation of about 138 people based in Boston. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
