IT Support Specialist - user accounts and access (Birmingham, AL)

Bluepeak Ridge Community Partners is a Birmingham charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our user accounts and access. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
