IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Northwind Sparrow Arts Center is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for volunteer programmes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with volunteer programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
