IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Fernwood Quarry Telecom Group builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Virginia Beach area. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
