IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (San Antonio, TX)

Fernwood Ashton Facilities is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
