IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Beacon Financial Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be network troubleshooting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Reno. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
