IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Bluepeak Oak Facilities is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 417 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
