IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Northwind Rowan Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Toledo. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
