IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Fernwood Forge Freight is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We reward reliability. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
