IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Summit Field Water Authority is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
