IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Bright Birch Energy Group is an energy provider in San Diego focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would join a large organisation of about 466 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
