IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (remote)

Northwind Harbor Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Honolulu focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
