IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Portland, OR)

Lumen Maple Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Portland, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. You would join a large organisation of about 224 people based in Portland. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
