IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Pittsburgh, PA)

Fernwood Yarrow Telecom is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on network troubleshooting for service installations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
