IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Omaha, NE)

Northwind Iron Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Omaha. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
