IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Oakland, CA)

Lumen Clear Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Oakland, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. We invest in training. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
