IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (New Orleans, LA)

Summit Forge Freight is a New Orleans logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
