IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Madison, WI)

Clearpath Cross Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Madison. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
