IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Louisville, KY)

Fernwood Labs is a nonprofit in Louisville supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
