IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Greenridge Umber Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Grand Rapids focused on reliable home and business connections. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
