IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Rowan Environmental Services and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be network troubleshooting. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with service complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
