IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Vale Water Authority Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be network troubleshooting. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
