IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Des Moines, IA)

Clearpath Orchard Energy Group supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Des Moines. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
