IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Columbus, OH)

Greenridge Meridian Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Columbus, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our network troubleshooting. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with constituent requests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
