IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Chicago, IL)

Bright Loom Manufacturing is a Chicago manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
