IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Charlotte, NC)

Lumen Ivory Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Charlotte. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
