IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Boston, MA)

Bright Oak Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Boston. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would join a large organisation of about 746 people based in Boston. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with school partnerships. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
