IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Birmingham, AL)

Redstone Hollow Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Birmingham. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
