IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood Cedar Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Birmingham. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with loan files. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
