IT Support Specialist - network troubleshooting (Austin, TX)

Harborlight River Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Austin. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on network troubleshooting. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
