IT Support Specialist - help desk (Virginia Beach, VA)

Highbridge Vista Manufacturing is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
