IT Support Specialist - help desk (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Pine Manufacturing is a Savannah manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
