IT Support Specialist - help desk (San Jose, CA)

Fernwood Willow Community Partners is a nonprofit in San Jose supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
