IT Support Specialist - help desk (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Rook Property Management is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on help desk for vendor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 131 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with vendor invoices. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
