IT Support Specialist - help desk (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Kestrel Property Management manages apartment communities around San Diego. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with unit turnovers. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
