IT Support Specialist - help desk (San Diego, CA)

Fernwood Cross Facilities Group looks after properties across the San Diego region. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with supply orders. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
