IT Support Specialist - help desk (San Diego, CA)

Northwind Orchard Telecom is a telecommunications provider in San Diego focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
