IT Support Specialist - help desk (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Telecom and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. We invest in training. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
