IT Support Specialist - help desk (Salt Lake City, UT)

Ironwood West Energy is an energy provider in Salt Lake City focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 134 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
